So we have had morning church only twice in the last 7 years. Both times it was 8:00 am and both times Christmas was on Sunday. We got the kids dressed upstairs, gave them some yogurt and made them head out the back door and around the side of the house. We even hung up a sheet blocking the view to the living room.
The girls got tickets to Wicked. I hid them inside a piano book. They were so excited over just the piano music for Wicked, and then they about died when I asked them to look inside the front cover. Too fun! And since they can't go alone, Jon and I got tickets too. Merry Christmas to us :) If you look really close you'll notice my other Christmas present - that's right...the ugly blue and white striped sofas are gone and in their place are some lovely, neutral couches. I've been stashing money aside - here a little, there a little and then we had a garage sale at one of the houses we look after and finally we were able to purchase new couches. I love them :) Once I recover the polka dot pillows, I will love them too. We also headed out to San Diego for a few days after Christmas and enjoyed family, food and fantastic weather. Left my camera at home though.
