Happy Halloween

Last year after Halloween, I picked up about 6-7 costumes on clearance for about $3 bucks each. I thought I was good to go this year. The boys have been wearing their costumes all year - Captain America, Optimus Prime, Bumble Bee and more. Jon laughs as there is a new superhero each day to greet him. I got a Wonder Woman, witch and a flapper costume for the girls. As you can see none of those costume appeared during the 4 day Halloween celebration. The boys decided to be Zombies - which worked well with some old stained or ripped clothes. I even took Caleb's pants out of the trash - they didn't survive our camping trip well and I decided to toss them. Emily decided she had to be a vampire and agreed to pay for most of her costume. They all looked great and had a great time at the school's Book or Treat, the neighborhood HOA party, the ward Trunk or Treat and then again on Halloween. I love trick or treating in AZ with the gorgeous weather. No coats, not even a long sleeve shirt underneath to keep warm. The kids are glad that I"m doing a healthy habits challenge this year and I won't be raiding their stash!

I loved our door this year. I made a giant monster out of butcher paper and the haunted house picture was from an art lesson I did with Rachel's class. I always did the lesson with my 5th graders so it was fun to go in with her class.
Rachel with Keaton at the ward Trunk or treat - the little kids kept chasing them both trying to eat them.
